Mr Lindley – Headteacher

Mr Lindley joined Holy Cross in 2002 as a newly qualified teacher of Science.  Since then, he has held a number of leadership positions, including Assistant Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher, before being appointed Headteacher.

As Headteacher, Mr Lindley provides strategic leadership for the school, ensuring that our Catholic mission and values remain at the heart of everything we do.  He is committed to securing the highest standards of achievement, personal development and wellbeing for all pupils, fostering a culture where every young person is encouraged to aspire, succeed and flourish.  Mr Lindley is a specialist teacher of Science.

Mrs Huddy – Deputy Headteacher

Mrs Huddy joined Holy Cross in 2010 and is responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership of the school.

Her areas of responsibility include curriculum planning and development, timetable construction, examinations, staffing, recruitment, self-evaluation and whole-school improvement.  She also oversees key aspects of school organisation, ensuring that pupils benefit from a well-planned, ambitious and inclusive educational experience. Mrs Huddy is the Senior Leadership Team link for Year 11, Religious Education and Physical Education.  She is a specialist teacher of Modern Foreign Languages.

Mrs Henderson – Assistant Headteacher

Mrs Henderson joined Holy Cross in January 2017 and leads on teaching, learning and quality assurance processes across the school.

She is responsible for ensuring that pupils access a broad, ambitious and knowledge-rich curriculum, supported by high-quality teaching and effective assessment.  Her role also includes leading professional learning, supporting staff at all stages of their careers and overseeing appraisal.  She leads on the pupil aspirations programme.  Mrs Henderson is the Senior Leadership Team link for SEND, Modern Foreign Languages and History.  She is a specialist teacher of English.

Mrs Hitchen – Assistant Headteacher

Mrs Hitchen joined Holy Cross in September 2013 and has strategic responsibility for personal development, careers education, enrichment and the alternative curriculum.

She leads the school’s work in preparing pupils for their next stages of education, employment and training, ensuring that every young person develops the confidence, character and skills required to thrive in modern society.  Mrs Hitchen is also Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), leads on staff wellbeing, pupil voice and oversees the induction of Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and Initial Teacher Training (ITT) trainees.  She serves as the Educational Visits Co-ordinator and is the Senior Leadership Team link for Year 8, Mathematics, Drama and Music.  Mrs Hitchen is a specialist teacher of History.

Mr Morris –  Assistant Headteacher

Mr Morris joined Holy Cross in 2012 and leads on pastoral care, safeguarding, attendance and pupil welfare.

As the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), he ensures that safeguarding remains everyone’s responsibility and that pupils feel safe, supported and valued.  He works closely with families, external agencies and pastoral teams to promote excellent attendance, positive behaviour and strong emotional wellbeing.  Mr Morris is the Senior Leadership Team link for Year 9, Science, Art and Product Design.  He is a specialist teacher of Physical Education.

Mrs Prescott –  Assistant Headteacher

Mrs Prescott joined Holy Cross in 2016 and leads on pupil progress, achievement and inclusion.

She oversees whole-school data, tracking and reporting.  She is the lead for intervention, ensuring that all pupils are supported to achieve their full potential.  Mrs Prescott also has responsibility for Pupil Premium and Looked After Children, championing equality of opportunity and removing barriers to success.  She is the Senior Leadership Team link for Year 10, Computer Science and Geography.  Mrs Prescott is a specialist teacher of Science.

Miss Wallace –  Assistant Headteacher

Miss Wallace joined Holy Cross in 2015 and leads on behaviour and pupil attitudes.

She is responsible for developing and maintaining a culture of high expectations, respect and positive behaviour throughout the school.  Her role includes overseeing the behaviour and rewards systems, the school Prefect system, and leading transition arrangements for pupils joining Holy Cross from primary school.  Miss Wallace is the Senior Leadership Team link for Year 7, Food and Nutrition, and English.  She is a specialist teacher of History.

Mrs Cooper – Business Manager

Mrs Cooper joined Holy Cross in 2002 and provides strategic leadership for the school’s business, financial and operational services.

She is responsible for budgeting, personnel, support staff, catering, health and safety, facilities management and school transport.  Mrs Cooper plays a vital role in ensuring that the school’s resources, environment and infrastructure support high-quality teaching, learning and pupil wellbeing, enabling Holy Cross to provide a safe, efficient and welcoming environment for all members of the school community.
