Meet the Team

Claire Easterbrook – Independent Careers Adviser

Claire, our Independent Careers Adviser, works in school every Friday.  Claire is a Specialist Careers Adviser who offers a holistic approach allowing our pupils to make informed decisions about their futures.

Claire holds a Level 7 Diplomas in Careers Guidance and has been helping the pupils of Holy Cross for 12 years.

Claire says “I am very privileged to be able to work as a Careers Adviser at Holy Cross helping young people plan their futures and offering impartial careers advice and guidance.  My aim is always to inspire pupils with the range of careers and opportunities open to them.

The pupils at Holy Cross are a delight to work with; they are polite, respectful and value the opportunity they are given for a one to one careers interview.  During their allocated interview time we discuss potential career ideas linked to their personal strengths and interests, as well as the skill requirements for the career and workplace.  We look at the different learning pathways open to them on leaving school at the end of Year 11 including academic A-Level and Vocational courses at college, school sixth forms, and traineeships, apprenticeships, self-employment, as well as the various routes post-18 into Higher Education including university courses and degree apprenticeships.”

Mrs Love – Careers Coordinator

Mrs Love has been at Holy Cross since 2018 and worked in the Careers team since 2020.  Mrs Love’s role includes organising events such as the Careers Fair and College sample days as well as inviting guest speakers to inspire our pupils by talking about their own career journeys.

Mrs Love works closely with Mrs Hitchen (Assistant Headteacher responsible for Careers and Personal Development), Claire Easterbrook, Heads of Year, Heads of Department and our SEND team to ensure that all of our pupils have access to a thorough, well-rounded careers programme.

Mrs Love completed her Careers and Enterprise Company Level 6 Careers Leadership training in 2021 and is passionate about ensuring that our pupils leave Holy Cross confident and well prepared for their future.
