Medical Needs

If your child has a diagnosed medical condition or allergy, please inform the Office via . This information will be shared with our SEND Department who will determine whether your child requires a Care Plan in school. This is a document which will be shared with all staff and pinned to your child’s Synergy profile, ensuring their safety in school.

If your child is transitioning to Holy Cross from Year 6 to Year 7 and requires a Care Plan, please complete the details on your acceptance form and our Assistant SENDCO will be in touch to discuss a Care Plan before transition.

Holy Cross has a central allergy register, and all staff have been trained on using Epi-Pens as per Benedict’s Law. Allergy information is shared with Mr P Callender (Food and Nutrition Lead) and the Canteen staff.

Within science food tests, acids and alkalis are carried out and risk assessments have been adapted to support pupils with allergies.
