Our mission, “I have come that they may have life and have it to the full,” (John 10:10) guides every aspect of school life.  We believe that pupils can only live life to the full when they learn in an environment that is safe, respectful, purposeful, and rooted in our core values: Love God, Work Hard, Be Kind.  These values shape our expectations for behaviour and underpin the way we teach, support, and interact with one another.

Effective teaching and learning depends on pupils demonstrating positive Behaviours for Learning.  The school recognises that these behaviours must be explicitly taught, modelled, and reinforced.  All staff share responsibility for promoting high expectations and maintaining consistency so that every pupil can flourish academically, socially, and spiritually.  We strive to be a community in which everyone, staff and pupils alike, is valued, respected, and encouraged to grow.

To ensure that high standards are upheld, we operate a clear and structured debit system.  This system provides clarity for pupils and staff, ensuring that the Behaviour Policy is applied fairly and consistently.  Poor behaviour, whether in or out of the classroom, is challenged and recorded by staff through School Synergy.  This is monitored by Heads of Department, Heads of Year and the Senior Leadership Team which helps us ensure that pupils are appropriately supported, that those who meet or exceed expectations are recognised and rewarded, and that all pupils know exactly what they must do to improve.

For pupils who struggle to meet our expectations, behaviour monitoring cards provide a clear overview of conduct throughout the school day.  These cards support communication between teachers, parents, and pupils, helping to identify patterns and encourage sustained improvement.

All behaviour points and related information are recorded and tracked through School Synergy, ensuring transparency, consistency, and effective communication with families.

Through these systems we work to create a school community where every pupil can truly “have life, and have it to the full.”
