You can apply for a secondary school place between 1 September 2025 and 31 October 2025 via: www.lancashire.gov.uk/schools
It’s quick and easy to do and you will receive email confirmation of your application.
You must apply even if you already have siblings in school.
If you live in Lancashire you can include out of area preferences on your online application.
The closing date for secondary applications for September 2026 is 23:59 on 31 October 2025.
Parents are reminded that they must also submit a Supplementary Faith Form to the school, even if you don’t have a faith reference. This must be submitted to school by 4pm on 31 October 2025. You can either email these to with proof of baptism or hand them into the main reception. Please note the changes to the 2026 27 admissions policy and the new supplementary information from.

In-Year Admissions
Holy Cross is an oversubscribed Catholic High School. If your child is looking to move schools or you have recently moved into the local area and would like to apply for a place at Holy Cross Catholic High School in the first instance please contact or
01257 262093 to enquire if there is a place available.
Should you decide to proceed with your application you will need to complete our school
In-Year Admissions Form and a Supplementary Faith Information Form and return to
Once the In-Year Admission Application Form is received it will be considered by the Governing Body and you will receive written notification of their decision within 20 school days.
If we are unable to offer your child a place at our school you will be notified by letter within 20 school days.
If unsuccessful, should you wish to appeal this decision you have the right to appeal. To appeal this decision, you will need to complete an appeals form Appeal for a school place – Lancashire County Council
Once appeals and any supporting evidence are received, Lancashire County Council Appeals Team will manage the appeals process from this point.
