Holy Cross is an eco-school!

8 December 2021

The Eco-Committee are striving to make changes to help the environment.

Year 11 Pearl said: “We want to make the school more environmentally-friendly and have already put things in place such as pen recycling, yellow bins for plastics and the packaging for school dinners is biodegradable.

“I also attended a discussion with other schools in Chorley recently about what we can do to make Chorley more environmentally-friendly.

“It was really interesting, we talked about greenwashing – the language used to say some products are eco-friendly when they aren’t always.

“It’s something I am passionate about, I was on the Eco-Committee at primary school, and we want to make positive changes and help people understand why we need to make these important changes.”
