If your child is too ill to get in to school, please report this by ringing school before 8.55am on the day of the illness. If we are unaware of your child’s absence you will receive a text or phone call enquiring about his/her whereabouts.
You will need to contact school on a daily basis throughout the child’s absence. This can either by done via the main office on 01257 262093 or via email attendance@holycross.lancs.sch.uk. You will need to provide pupil name, tutor group and reason for absence.
Ideally appointments should be made outside of school time, where this is not possible please inform school as soon as possible.
Absence is monitored by our Attendance Officer, Mr P Dooley. His role is to investigate any unknown absence, work with pupils whose attendance is a cause for concern and also to maintain accurate records of pupil absence.
