Deacon turned to rugby as he didn’t like football – and is currently at Super League giants St Helens.
The Year 11 pupil has been playing rugby since he was seven.
“I signed a two-year deal at St Helens when I was 14 and am waiting to hear about a new contract,” said the second row.
“I took up rugby as I didn’t like football and my dad took me to a few games.
“I like the physicality of it and it’s very competitive. I would love to play professional rugby.”
