Below is a collection of home learning resources to support the study for GCSEs at Holy Cross.

Home learning resources will be provided via Show My Homework.  Please be advised that it is not a requirement to login to Show My Homework to view this content.  The main homework calendar is available at: https://holycrosschs.showmyhomework.co.uk

Learners are reminded that during registration, they will have been asked to provide an email address. This will be needed on the login form.  Password resets can be requested directly on the login page via the “Forgotten Password?” link if needed.

Supporting Online Learning

The government announced a range of measures on Sunday to support children to learn from home. These measures include the following:

The launch of the Oak National Academy – 180 video lessons and quizzes across arrange of subjects, for year groups from Reception to Year 10, created by forty teachers across different schools. This resource will be accessible to both schools and parents and will complement work being developed by individual schools. The launch of a new BBC education package – You will find daily lessons for home schooling in Maths and English for every year group, as well as regular lessons in Science, History, Geography and more. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/dailylessons

The government has also updated its guidance for parents and carers on the closure of educational settings and has included information on the new resources available to support learning at home.
