If your child is too ill to get in to school, please report this by ringing school before 8.55am on the day of the illness. If we are unaware of your child’s absence you will receive a text or phone call enquiring about his/her whereabouts.
You will need to ring in on a daily basis throughout the child’s absence. On returning to school the pupil must bring a note written by his/her parent or guardian explaining their absence. This content of the note is recorded on our system.
Absence is monitored by our two designated Attendance Improvement Officers. For Years 7, and 9 it is Mrs Starkey and for Years 10 and 11 it is Mr Smith. Their role is to investigate any unknown absence, work with pupils whose attendance is a cause for concern and also to maintain accurate records of pupil absence.
