Headteacher: Mr Gaughan
Mr Gaughan joined Holy Cross School as Headteacher at Easter 2014. He has a wealth of experience in Catholic education having been a classroom teacher, Head of Department, Head of Year and Deputy Headteacher. For the academic year 2019-20 Mr Gaughan was also Executive Headteacher of another school in the Archdiocese. Mr Gaughan is a Music specialist.
Deputy Headteacher: Mr Lindley
As Deputy Headteacher, Mr Lindley has responsibility for the day to day operations of the school. His specific responsibilities include Quality Assurance, Curriculum Development, staff induction, staff development and appraisal. Mr Lindley is a Science specialist.
Assistant Headteacher: Mr Morris
Mr Morris is in his 9th year at Holy Cross. He is responsible for the pastoral care and guidance of pupils within school. This role includes the school behaviour and rewards systems and liaising with external agencies who support pupils and the school. Mr Morris is the Designated Senior Leader (DSL) for Safeguarding and is a PE specialist.
Assistant Headteacher: Miss Marcroft
Miss Marcroft joined Holy Cross in 2010. She has responsibility for Teaching & Learning. This includes literacy & numeracy across the curriculum, assessment, homework and the support of teaching staff in providing a high quality experience in the classroom. Miss Marcroft oversees the Schools Direct Teacher Training Programme and is the Educational Visits Co-ordinator. She is a Modern Foreign Languages specialist.
Assistant Headteacher: Mrs Hardman Mrs Hardman has been at Holy Cross for 6 years. She has overall responsibility for pupil outcomes for specific cohorts of pupils. She oversees the Learning Support Department and is a qualified SENDCo and Deputy Designated Senior Leader (DSL) for safeguarding. Mrs Hardman is also responsible for Careers Guidance, Pupil Leadership, Alternative Curriculum, and is the lead contact for Children Looked After (CLA). She is a Modern Foreign Languages specialist.
Business Manager: Mrs Cooper
Mrs Cooper has overall responsibility for financial matters in school, personnel, management of non-teaching staff and catering services. Mrs Cooper also has overall responsibility for the care and management of the school buildings and grounds, the sports facility, health & safety matters and the organisation of school transport. Mrs Cooper has been at Holy Cross since 2002.
