Holy Cross student Jason helped Chorley Buccaneers finish runners-up in the National Finals.

Jason is the youngest in the American Football team, aged just 14 in the Under 17 kitted team who were also Northern champions.

“I have been at Chorley Buccaneers for around five years,” said Jason. “I used to like playing rugby and this is similar.

“I play corner back and train once a week at a two-hour training session.

“We competed in a UK tournament in Derby. We came up against teams from Scotland and Wales and got into the final.

“Unfortunately I got injured and couldn’t play in the final, a couple of us had injuries, and we lost.”

Jason hopes to go to the army college at Harrogate when he finishes school and join the Parachute Regiment.
